"Decision-making Skills — The Role of Intuition and Logic" training course
Duration: 5 days
Cost: US$ 4995 per participant (includes all assessments and materials)
This course for leaders and managers is designed to promote better decision-making skills. Participants draw on lecture/discussions, case studies, simulations, and self-scoring assessments to increase their decision-making skills.
Participants learn how to approach situational appraisals, problem analyses, decision analyses and potential problems analyses; and engage in critical thinking. Ethical decision making scenarios are included as well as how "group think" influences decision-making. The capacity to build consensus and employ artful negotiation strategies is also addressed.
A variety of self-assessment instruments increase awareness about one's: tolerance for ambiguity, conflict resolution style, capacity for intuitive decision-making, participative management profile, life-style approach and group styles skills.
The instrumentation profiles are used to help participants broaden their individual and group decision-making skills repertoire.
Participants are introduced to decision support software tools, CoNexus® and Decision Explorer®, for example. Both are available as takeaways from the course in desktop version.
